Sally McLean formed
her own film and television production company, Salmac Productions,
in 1997 under the Honorary Patronage of acclaimed British actor,
Sir
Nigel Hawthorne (an association that continued until
his passing in 2001). Our parent business, Incognita Enterprises, became the successor
to Salmac in 2008.
As part of her screen production business, she began designing
sites for her own projects, which led to requests from other
entertainment industry professionals to design for them as well.
Ten years later, Incognita Design has designed over fifty websites
for a wide range of entertainment and lifestyle industry clients.
Sally has won numerous awards for web design (including twice
winning the prestigious Golden Hive Award - once for her
design of the Salmac Productions'
site, then again for her design of the Gyuto
Monks of Tibet site - alongside fellow winners such as
Adobe.com, NASA, the Official Mick Fleetwood site and the NORAD
Tracks Santa website), has been an adjudicator for five web awards:
The Flare With Flair Award, The Top Drawer Award, The Excellence
Award, The Global Goblet Award and The Golden Screen Award,
and is a featured article contributor to various web-zines and
sites in Australia, the UK and US.
She also held the position of Content Coordinator for the
Multimedia Internet Network (min) in Melbourne, an Internet portal
designed to inform, assist and encourage entrepreneurs and start
up companies in the area of new media. Her work there included
researching and writing articles about many different subjects
relating to new media companies and Internet marketing.
Also a filmmaker and actor, with credits as actor, writer,
producer and/or production crew member in film and television
with companies such as the BBC, the Nine Network, Southern Star
and Network Ten, Sally has a broad understanding of the entertainment
industry. This, along with her work in publicity and organising
special events, gives her a strong base of experience to draw
from when designing projects for these arenas.
She has designed web sites, print media and CD-ROMs for a
plethora of clients, including musicians, actors, natural therapists,
alternative health practitioners, production companies, feature
films, graphic designers and artists.
